How to submit your volunteering & get it awarded towards the MLP
If you have found your volunteering by applying for an opportunity on the Volunteer Hub, the organisation will award you the volunteering hours once you have completed them. Once these hours have been awarded they will appear on your Volunteer Hub account. This volunteering will then be counted towards the MLP.
If you find your volunteering elsewhere and it is not advertised on the Volunteer Hub, that is completely fine. All that you will need to do is record this volunteering on the Volunteer Hub. To do this you will need to register an account on the Hub (if you have not already done so), then go in and access 'My independently sourced hours' on the Volunteer Menu (on the right-hand side of the screen). You will be able to record your volunteering there.
Once you have done that the organisation that you have been volunteering with will receive an email generated from the Volunteer Hub asking them to approve your volunteering. Please inform the organisation that they will be receiving this email and ask them to approve your volunteering.
Please note: the number of hours granted towards your MLP may be different to the number of hours you have recorded, depending on how the volunteering meets the MLP volunteering criteria.
The deadline to complete and confirm all your MLP volunteering is 31 May 2023.
